How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Honestly, figuring out all the ways to use Seeds Kids Worship in your homeschool feels a lot like that question—there are just so many sweet possibilities!
In all seriousness, Seeds Kids Worship can be beautifully woven into your homeschool day in countless ways. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Seeds at Home
One of the best places to begin is during morning time (or morning basket, if that’s your style). As part of your routine, simply press play on a Seeds song. Keep it simple and sing during breakfast or kick things up with full-on worship—hand motions and all—with the Seeds videos. Movement engages the body and the brain, helping children connect with the words and memorize scripture more easily. It also brings so much joy and energy into your home. What better way to begin the day than worshipping together as a family?
Looking for a fun challenge? Try the Seeds 4-Year Scripture Memory Plan! If you’re a checklist-lover like me, this one’s a gem. Hang it on the fridge and tackle one song at a time. Celebrate each year’s milestone with a small treat—and when you complete the entire plan, throw a big scripture-filled party! Just think of the gift you’re giving your children: a heart overflowing with God’s Word. As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us,
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Seeds at Your Co-op
Seeds has also made a powerful impact in our homeschool co-op. Each week during our morning assembly, we sing a Seeds song together, and it's been such a blessing! We’ve even integrated it into our curriculum, assigning a new verse every two weeks. Different students take turns leading the song each week, and the assigned verse becomes the memory verse at home.
There’s something deeply moving about starting a day with a room full of children raising their voices and hands to sing God’s Word. One of our favorites last year was More Than Conquerors (Romans 8:37) —and then the joy of hearing students humming that truth throughout the day? Pure joy.
Homeschool groups come in all shapes and sizes, and I encourage you to find a way get Seeds Kids Worship in your homeschool community. Whether your group is big or small, I believe it will bless your families in ways you didn’t expect.
As homeschoolers, many of us desire to keep God’s Word at the center of our homes. Seeds is such a joyful and meaningful way to do that. Use it with your family, share it with friends, or journey through the 4-year plan together. However you choose to use it, keep pressing on toward the goal: hiding God’s Word in your children’s—and your own—hearts.
