Ever faced with a hard decision? For me I go straight to James 3 to guide me and make sure the wisdom I am receiving is from God and not from the world. Heres it broken down from James 3:17.
Characteristics of Heavenly Wisdom:
Pure: It's untainted by selfish motives or deceit.
Peaceable: It promotes harmony and reconciliation.
Gentle: It's not harsh or abrasive but manifests in kindness and compassion.
Open to Reason: It's willing to listen and consider different viewpoints.
Full of Mercy and Good Fruits: It extends grace and produces positive outcomes.
Impartial: It's fair and just, not showing favoritism.
Sincere: It's genuine and authentic.
Worldly wisdom may prioritize personal gain, power, or success over purity and peace. It might be driven by self-interest, lacking mercy or impartiality. Unlike the sincerity of heavenly wisdom, worldly wisdom may be marked by deception or manipulation.
I encourage you today to reflect on how you can receive and apply this heavenly wisdom to your lives. If you are faced with a hard decision check your heart and your motive and align it with James 3:17.
