Seeds from The Word: Respond with Grace and Peace

How are you responding to what is around you this morning? We all know how emotions can sometimes take over, especially when anger sneaks in. It can spill out and hurt those around us. But there's hope and peace to be found deep within.

In Psalm 34:14, we're reminded to turn away from negativity and seek peace: "Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." This wisdom helps us stay calm in moments that might otherwise make us angry.

James 1:19 (The Message) adds another layer: “Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger. So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.”

Let’s allow God's word to transform us, guiding us to respond with grace and peace.
