"The phrase 'The days drag on but the years fly by' resonates with us all. Recently, I stumbled upon a staggering fact while reading a book – there are 9.5 million minutes in 18 years. It made me pause and reflect on the countless minutes I've squandered. Those moments when I neglected to fully engage with my kids or got caught up in trivial matters, missing out on precious time. Once gone, these moments can't be reclaimed; there are no redos.
Seeds Kids Worship new motto, 'Don't miss this moment,' struck a chord with me. While I may harbor regrets for the missed opportunities, I also look forward to the countless moments yet to be cherished with my children. It's easy to perceive our kids as an obstacle or additional workload, diverting us from our 'real work.' However, we must consistently remind ourselves that our children are our most significant 'work,' and everything else is merely an interruption.
I am firm in my commitment to being intentional with the minutes I spend with my kids, recognizing that their childhood is fleeting. Seeds Kids Worship plays a crucial role in my strategy for parenting, contributing to their training and aiding in embedding God's word in their hearts. I am confident that these songs will endure in their memories long into adulthood. One such song we recently worked on is based on Proverbs 3:5-6. They confidently can say the verses and do the hand motions, and I am excited to apply this to real-life situations.
Enjoy those fleeting minutes with your precious children!
