Do Not Fear- Kids Worship Lesson
Use our newest Seeds Worship song in your Children’s Ministry this weekend. Here’s a great way to talk about fear and anxiety with your kids:
Welcome the children and explain how thankful you are that they have come to learn more about God and His Word, the Bible.
Say:
We all have emotions inside of us.
What’s an emotion you have had?
In today’s worship we are going to be singing a song about Fear.
Have you experienced fear?
Were you afraid of something?
What were you afraid of?
How did it make you feel?
Have a volunteer read the verse:
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
“So do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Encourage the children to think more about the verse by asking the following:
What does it mean to fear?
Who is with you when you are afraid?
Who will strengthen and help you?
What does it mean ‘I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’?
What can we trust God to help us with?
Worship Time:
Say:
We are going to learn a new song today. This song is from the verse Isaiah 41:10 in the Bible, God’s Word. We are going to sing God’s Word.
Let’s learn the hand motions first.
Do not fear, for I am with you ( put your hand out like a stop sign, then put hand on chest, then do it with the other hand, then do it with both hands)
Do not be dismayed (slump over like you are really sad)
For I am Your God (point up to God)
I will strengthen you and help you ( show your strong muscles and hold your hands out in front of you like a book)
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand ( raise your right hand up to the sky)
Say:
Ok, let’s worship!

Prayer:
Dear God,
How thankful we are for how much You love us. When we feel fear and anxiety, help us to know that you are there to help and comfort us. Thank You for helping us when we are afraid.
Amen
